Destination Maternity files for bankruptcy

Destination Maternity the worlds largest retailer for maternity wear has filed for bankruptcy. The company is working with advisors at the law firm Kirkland Ellis and Berkeley Research Group. The retailer which employs a little over 1100 full-time and 2300 part-time employees owned 458 U.S. stores as of February according to regulatory filings.

Homeland Buys 5 Stores in Oklahoma

Homeland an employee-owned retailer that is part of Oklahoma City-based HAC Inc. is buying five stores from RPCS Inc. Four Food Pyramid storestwo in Ponca City and one each in Stillwater and Bartlesville Okla.and one Discount Foods in Ponca City will be rebranded as Homeland beginning in 2020.

Wawa plans to continue to open an average of 20-30 stores per year for the next several years with the goal of reaching 400 stores by 2028.
